National Veterinary Institute
A special internal organizational unit that carries out the activity of a public veterinary service, as must be provided by each member of the European Union within a professional institution.
NVI's activities are mainly laboratory examinations of animal materials, food and raw materials for the diagnosis of infectious and other animal diseases or determining the health suitability of food of animal origin, feed, feed water and other products, pathomorphological diagnostics, veterinary hygiene, preparation of expert bases for planning measures in animal health and ensuring safe food and feed, monitoring animal health and reproduction by insemination at national level, monitoring the health and treatment of bees and fish, carrying out disinfection, disinsection and deratization (DDD).
