Project Description

The basic objectives of the project are to apply knowledge in the field of precision livestock farming. Students acquire knowledge of approaches to monitoring parameters of health, welfare, production efficiency, reproduction and environmental impact in real time, based on the analysis of measured parameters, interpretation of data and implementation of appropriate control systems, which, based on the analyzes, necessary for certain actions, which are combined in an integrated system of comprehensive management of animal husbandry.

The aim of the training is to provide content knowledge of sustainable development and a sustainable way of life, as well as to present strategies and models of animal welfare in the context of monitoring physiological and ethological parameters of animals and environmental parameters in real time using sensor systems on animals and monitoring environmental parameters that detect deviations, which will be recognized and thereby significantly reduce the probability of worsening the level of animal welfare and health, as well as pollution of the environment and biodiversity. The training will be prepared so that students acquire skills and competencies in the field of the most modern trends in precision livestock farming, and thus the green economy, through the transfer of knowledge. The plan also includes the creation of training opportunities to obtain micro credentials.
