Project description
Research in veterinary medicine that is crucial for maintaining public health is based on the concept of "One Health". This concept is also followed by our research program P4-0053 "Endocrine, immune and enzyme responses in healthy and sick animals". The program presents continuation and development of the previously established research with the aim to gain knowledge of animal responses in physiological, experimental and deisease states from the cellular level to the organism and to translate this knpowledge into practice. We are upgrading our research with the evaluation and use of animal models of spontaneous and experimantal diseases and comparative studies of highly selected production animals, indigenous species, and wildlife. The program has two pillars (Figure 1), in which the research is organized by working groups (WG) supported by joint laboratories, registered experimental facilities and specialsit clinics.
